Kinograph
Kinograph is an ongoing open source project that makes film digitization affordable and scaleable. Using components available on the internet and a few 3D printed parts, the machine digitizes 35mm and 16mm film at high definition resolutions with sound.
Kinograph v2 is now in development, with help from folks in the forums.
